Further, we wanted to stay true to transactions.  This site is all about deals, transactions, or speculations on deals forthcoming.

Thirty years ago we all knew venture capital was being deployed to a small segment of entrepreneurs - mainly in Silicon Valley.  Much was rumored - not much was fact based.  Then VentureWire launched and began to shed light on this nascant industry.  It became the source to rely upon for VC-based activity.  We'd like IPWire.com to be that for the IP transaction industry.

We launched IPWire.com as a separate brand and distinct property so that we could maintain the editorial integrity of the site and its content. We are encouraged by your thoughts for improvement or better yet, your guest column!
